Beloved OMMIJ Family,

Today we come to you with open hearts, transparency, and deep gratitude for your trust and patience. As many of you may already know, OMMIJ is currently navigating through an unprecedented situation—one that has drawn attention from multiple directions, some with intentions rooted far from love and understanding.

Last Friday, we received a visit from the Guardia Civil at our retreat center in Spain. This was the result of ongoing false accusations made against us by a Dutch individual determined to disrupt the harmony and healing we so deeply cherish and cultivate within our community. After the visit from the Guardia Civil, and despite the complexity of the legal landscape around plant-based medicines, we remain confident that our work does not involve any illegal substances, a view we share with our legal team and which we hope will be confirmed in due course through the appropriate judicial channels.

However, until the judicial process fully clarifies the situation — and with a resolution expected soon — we have decided, out of responsibility and in close coordination with our legal team, to temporarily pause our retreats in both Spain and Holland. This pause, adopted as a precautionary measure, aims to ensure the continuity of our sacred work within a secure and legally sound framework.

We are supported by Francisco Azorín, an ayahuasca specialist and multiple lawyers beyond them, who are diligently working to secure a positive outcome. The future looks bright, but we must acknowledge that we are still under investigation. At this stage, our operational and financial capacity is temporarily conditioned by the ongoing proceedings, and although we face certain temporary operational restrictions, we remain confident that full normality will be restored once the case is formally resolved.

We deeply understand and share the disappointment that many of you might feel in reading these words, and we embrace this moment together as an opportunity for collective trust, resilience, and hope. As challenging as this period might seem, we genuinely believe this is part of a profound shift unfolding within the greater Ayahuasca community—one that promises to lead us toward clearer, safer, and fully recognized legal pathways.

We want to reassure you, our beloved tribe, that OMMIJ is fully committed and actively engaged in ensuring our retreats will resume as soon as clarity and peace are restored through the court’s final ruling. Until then, we hold space for patience, growth, and unity.
